Glow Hunter

Made for the Newbies Game Jam 2023

Play as a spider and hunt flashing glow bugs from the shadows. If you are caught in the light of any of the bugs you are revealed and the bugs will panic and run from you making it much harder to catch them. 

Your hunger will slowly deplete until it reaches zero and you starve. You must eat the glow bugs to keep it up.

Controls:

• Mouse to move (the spider will follow the mouse pointer)
• Flick with the mouse to dash
  • Click and hold left mouse button down then release while moving the mouse in the direction you want to move. The speed of the dash is determined by the speed of the mouse when the mouse button is released.
• Escape to pause
